After graduating from London School of Economics with a degree in Finance and Accountancy in July 2013, Yazmeen joined Ford Credit Europe on the graduate scheme in December of the same year.

"I rotate into different roles every 18 months or so. As the ACCA qualification is so broad it really helps you ease into new roles as you’re bound to use the knowledge learnt in every module in various roles throughout your career.

Currently a Receivables Accountant, Yazmeen’s daily tasks are varied. She deals with queries from other teams within Central office, the 15 FCE locations and parent company in the US.

"My favourite thing about my role is the amount of responsibility I’m given. From the moment I started at FCE I was expected to lead and contribute to meetings with senior management. As a result I became more confident in my skills and began to look for innovative ways of carrying out my tasks. At the same time I’ve been supported the whole way."

Yazmeen always had a desire to study ACCA and chose the qualification because of its broad spectrum of course content. "Out of all of the qualifications on offer it made the most sense to me. I also really liked the range of modules and felt that I would come out of it with a broad and detailed understanding of accounting and finance."

When not working, Yazmeen is a big music fan, and tries to go to as many concerts as possible.
