Michal has just started his new role as Finance Manager at Johnson & Johnson Consumer Services EMEA, Ltd, a part of the sixth largest healthcare company in the world, who have more than 275 operating companies in more than 60 countries employing approximately 128,700 people.
It's a big challenge, but one that Michal has embraced - "I love the combination of working with numbers and working with non-finance people in various projects, you get a real insight into the business".
Michal's day-to-day responsibilities are multi-faceted - he supports the global and European marketing teams with their budgeting, as well as planning the finance for new product development and has a hand in the launch and development of new projects. During the next two years he’ll be gathering expertise and bringing added value to the business, and after that? "I want to move abroad, grow professionally and move into the supply chain or manufacturing finance role".
Michal has been with the company since 2009 and worked for them in Paris and his native Prague. He attributes his success to: "intellectual curiosity, networking and an analytical approach to problem solving".
